This sampler, designed by Edna Medlin, reminds us of the old traditional Christmas carol, "The Holly and the Ivy," the last verse of which is:
The model was stitched on 36 count Edinborough Antique White Linen using three shades of Waterlilies and five shades of au Ver a Soie silk threads, with an embellishment of beads. Stitch count is 161 wide x 228 high. When worked on 36 count linen, the design measures 8.9 inches wide by 12.7 inches high. Chart: $5.00 |
