Sarah's sampler is undated but begins with an unusual placement of her first alphabet. Sarah used silk in very bright colors and stitched a familiar scripture as her verse.
Micah 6:8 Our reproduction, stitched on 28 count hand dyed linen, is very close in size to the original sampler. Stitches used are satin, Algerian eye, and cross stitch. The stitch count is 133 by 192. On 28 count linen the design is 9 1/2 by 13 3/4 inches. |
