This Scottish sampler was stitched by Euphemia Elder at the age of 9, in the mid-1800's. She gave her mother and father top billing, and her instructress, Mrs. Nicholson, the strongest color, but modestly stitched her own name and age in very light colored thread.

The model is stitched in 36 count Summer Khaki Edinborough linen which almost exactly reproduces the coloring and size of the original sampler. The floss required is Soie d'Alger Silk in the following colors: 1741, 2226 (qty 2), 2233, 2236, 2636, 3326, 3426, 4234, 4613, 4622, 4624, 5022. Stitch Count is 187 by 282.
