| This reproduction
of Louisa's sampler is dated January 9, but no year is shown. The sampler
is stitched entirely in cross stitch, with the name and date stitched over
one thread. Our model was stitched on 32 count linen which was hand-dyed
after stitching with walnut shells. We like to dye our models after stitching
to give the threads an old look. Finished size on 32 count linen, which
is very close to the original: 8 3/8" x 8 3/4".
