This sampler is a reproduction of an original sampler from the Netherlands. The linen appears to be handwoven, and has yellowed and become brittle. The silk threads have retained their original colors as the sampler was never framed, but stored in a family trunk. We have used 32 count Belfast Creme, and a combination of Needlepoint, Inc., silk and Soie d'Alger silk threads to reproduce very closely the original sampler, which is in the collection of the designer.
The stitch count is 227 by 270. On 32 count linen, the design size is approximately 14 1/4 by 17 inches. Chart: $13.00  Sunspots
