This small sampler uses a variety of stitches which include cross stitch over one and two threads, four sided stitch, Algerian eye, tent stitch, and queen stitch.

Jane worked her sampler on an excellent piece of homespun linen and used shades of brown, green, gold, blue, and peach.

We have closely reproduced Jane's sampler on 32 count amber linen from Wichelt and it measures 6 by 8 inches.
