Jennet Duncan Gosman Sampler

This early American sampler was stitched by eleven year old Jennet Duncan Gosman. The house, stitched in pastel colors, seems typical in style of New England houses. Her delicate border with large urns adds charm to this small sampler. Our model is stitched on an uneven weave 32 x 36, with 36 being the horizontal count, and 32 being the vertical. Stitched with Needlepoint and Kreinik silks, this sampler was reproduced and stitched by Jennet Whiteside.

The stitch count is 185 x 164. If stitched on the 32/36 uneven-weave linen, the measurement is 10 1/4 x 10 1/4.
