This striking sampler was stitched on uneven-weave linen, and although the stitch count is 210 wide by 250 high, it is almost square. To achieve the same look, we stitched our model on 32/36 count natural linen by Northern Cross. It may also be stitched on even weave linen, but the design will appear somewhat elongated.

Stitches used are cross stitch, alternating double back stitch, Algerian eye, rice stitch, back stitch, long stitch, and satin stitch

Finished design size:

• On 32/36 uneven weave, 13 by 14 1/2 inches;
• On 32 count even weave, 13 1/2 by 15 3/4 inches
• On 36 count even weave, 11 3/4 by 14 inches
