Our Pin Pillow was reproduced from an original design from the Threads of Gold collection. Our design was stitched on an uneven weave 40/50 count linen from Norden Crafts and uses needlepoint silks to closely resemble the original. When purchased, this design was framed and seemed to be just a miniature sampler. Upon taking it from the frame we found many pinholes in the attached lining, indicating it had originally been used as a pin cushion. Your reproduction can be mounted in a box such as ours, or simply filled with emery to keep your needles sharpened. Our model was reproduced and stitched by Helen Kelly. Stitch count is 108 by 94. If stitched on 36 count evenweave, it will measure 5 1/2 by 5 inches. If stitched on 40/50 count linen it will measure 5 1/2 by 4 inches, approximately.
