Samplers from A to Z

by Pamela A. Parmal
Museum of Fine Arts, Boston

Approximately 28 works of needlecraft on exhibit at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts are depicted here, in large, clear photographs and detailed blow-ups, with descriptions and discussions of each. "A" represents the simple school alphabet taught in the 1800's; "Z" is designation for yarns spun clockwise, as opposed to the "S" yarns spun counter clockwise. In between is some fascinating reading.

Soft cover, 64 pages.

Book:  $18.50
